Plot:
Beth is a young and ambitious art currator. Love has become a luxury she can't afford anymore, since she has been broken hearted before and the years waiting for the perfect romance have made her bitter. One day, she attends her sister's wedding, in Italy. At the wedding, she meets Nicholas, an attractive guy who saved her from several difficult situtations she landed in, because of her clumsyness. Both of them seem to have an interest in each other. Beth begins to believe love deserves another chance, until she sees Nicholas' kiss with another woman, who is thought to be crazy. Slightly drunk, Beth gets in the "fountain of love", located outside the church, and picks up 4 coins and a poker chip from the bottom. These coins are the coins of people who through them in the fountain, wishing for love. When she returns to New York, she notices some weird guys following her around, claiming that they are in love with them. Later on, she learns about a legend which says that if you take coins from the fountain, the owner of the coin will fall in love with you. She has to return the coins to the fountain to break the spell, but is tied up at work.
As she falls in love with Nick, she realizes that the poker chip belongs to Nick and is convinced that Nick is merely under a spell, not truly in love with her. Then, she learns that the spell can break if the coins are returned to their owners. After many difficult situations, she returns the coins to their owners. Nick picks his chip but appears to be in love with Beth still, convincing Beth that his love was true all along.
Finally, Beth and Nick get married in Rome. However, on their wedding day, Beth learns that the chip she gave to Nick was not the real one. While exchanging their wedding vows, Beth hesitates and rushes out of the church, convised that Nick was under the spell and didn't really love her. Beth climbs on the "fountain of love" and cries. Nick runs after her, so Beth explains the situtation. Nick claims that he never throw a chip in the fountain, so he is originally in love with her. The scene ends with them kissing. So, they lived happily ever after!
